Agreement
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Sunlight mobile app (also listed as Sunlight Alarm on Google Play), related services, and the website at sunlight.app, operated by Sagebrush Labs ("we," "us"). By creating an account or using Sunlight, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
The product
Sunlight is a personal habit tool: an outdoor wake alarm that stops after live outdoor verification, plus streaks and a morning photo journal. Sunlight is not medical, clinical, psychological, or sleep-therapy advice, and it is not a substitute for professional care. Use the app responsibly in safe outdoor conditions.
Accounts
You must provide accurate account information and keep your credentials secure. You are responsible for activity under your account. You may delete your account in Settings or by contacting support as described in our Privacy Policy.
Subscriptions
Free includes limited features. Sunlight Pro unlocks additional features such as fuller journal history and related Pro tools described in the app. Billing, trials, renewals, cancellations, and refunds for paid subscriptions are handled by the Apple App Store or Google Play according to their terms and policies. To cancel, manage your subscription in your store account settings. Deleting your Sunlight account does not by itself cancel a store subscription.
Acceptable use
You agree not to: bypass or attempt to defeat outdoor verification (including using gallery photos or spoofed signals where the product requires live capture); abuse, disrupt, or overload the service; reverse engineer or scrape the service except as allowed by law; upload unlawful or infringing content; or use Sunlight in any way that violates applicable law or these Terms.
Your content
You retain ownership of photos and other content you submit. You grant us a limited license to host, process, and display that content solely to operate Sunlight for you (including outdoor verification and your private journal). We do not claim ownership of your morning photos.
Disclaimer & liability
Sunlight is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind to the fullest extent permitted by law. Alarms, notifications, and verification depend on your device, OS permissions, network, and store policies; we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost data, habits, or opportunities arising from your use of the app.
Changes & termination
We may update these Terms or the service features from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date. We may suspend or terminate access for violations of these Terms or to protect the service. You may stop using Sunlight and delete your account at any time.
